Privacy policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy sets out the basis on which any personal data, including but not limited to payment details and other information we collect from you or other sources or that you provide to us ("Information"), will be handled by us in connection with your access and use of, and/or the handleforme mobile application (collectively, the "Platform"), services and applications (collectively, the "Services"). We understand the importance you place on the Information, and we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. Please read the following carefully to understand our practices regarding your Information.

References in this Privacy Policy to "we", "our", or "us" (or similar) are references to Handleforme DMCC. References to "user" or “handler" or “you" (or similar) are references to you as an individual or legal entity as the case may be.

It is essential that you read this Policy together with our Terms and Conditions or any other policy we may provide on specific occasions when collecting or processing Personal Information about you so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your data.

By using the Website & Platform, you represent and warrant that you have also read and understood and agreed to be bound by both this Policy and the Terms and Conditions.

2. What Information We May Collect From You?

While using the Platform, we may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of Personal Information about you. This information may include, but is not limited to:

1- Information that you provide by filling in forms on our Platform, including information provided at the time of registering to use our Platform and other co-registrations (e.g. social media logins), subscribing to our Services, posting material or requesting further services;

2- the Information you provide when you enter a competition or promotion via our Platform, provide reviews, testimonials or feedback on our Platform;

3- Information you provide us, or that we may collect from you, when you report a problem with our Platform;

4- a record of correspondence if you contact us;

5- general, aggregated, demographic and non-personal Information;

6- if you download or use our mobile application, we may have access to details about your location and your mobile device, including a unique identifier for your device;

7- details of transactions you carry out through our Platform and of the fulfilment of your orders;

8- details about your computer, including but not limited to your IP address, operating system and browser type, as well as information about your general internet usage (e.g. by using technology that stores information on or gains access to your device, such as cookies, tracking pixels, web beacons, etc., (together, "Cookies"));

9- your e-mail address from a third party if you indicate that you have consented to that third party sharing your information with us; and

10- any other information we consider necessary to enhance your experience on the Platform.

This information can be gathered when feedback or e-mails are sent to the Website when you register for services or make purchases via the website. In all such cases, you have the option of providing us with personally identifiable information.

3. How do we use the collected information?

The information Handleforme collects is used in a variety of ways, including;

a) to provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes;

b) to provide you with location-based services, such as advertising, search results and other personalised content;

c) to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and another entity using our Platform or between you and us;

f) to improve our Services and to deliver a better and more personalised service to you;

i) for any other reason which we deem necessary to enhance your experience of the Platform;

j) to administer and manage our incentives programs, fulfil your requests for incentives, and/or allow you to participate in sweepstakes and notify you if you are a sweepstakes winner.

The Platform may use non-personal “aggregated data” to enhance the operation of our platform or analyse interest in the areas of our platform. Additionally, if you provide the platform with content for publishing or feedback, we may publish your username or other identifying data.

4. To Whom do we disclose the collected information?

a) Other Businesses. To offer you our Services, we may engage with businesses who are affiliates of us and/or non-affiliated service providers (e.g. logistics businesses used to deliver products to you, marketing companies, payments processors to process online transactions, etc.). We may involve other businesses in your transactions, who may store your information in a digital wallet to make your use of our Services more efficient.

You understand that it is essential that such businesses have access to the relevant information to perform their functions. We will ensure that these businesses do not use your information for other purposes. We may also receive Information from these businesses (e.g. updated delivery and address information), which we may use (e.g. to correct our records and deliver your next purchase). These businesses shall be contractually bound to respect the confidentiality of your Information.

b) Marketing and Promotional Offers. We may also use your information to provide you with information about goods and services which may be of interest to you and enhance your Platform experience, service messages, new features, enhancements, special offers and events of interest. We may contact you via various channels, including, without limitation, e-mails, push notifications, web notifications, post, telephone, in-app messages and news feed cards.

We may permit third parties to use your Information. For example, we may provide advertisers Information to help them reach the kind of audience they want to target and enable us to comply with our commitments to our advertisers (e.g. by displaying their advertisements to a target audience).

Additionally, you may be asked to provide additional information to participate in some of our market research activities, including competitions and promotions. For example, if you win a competition, you may be asked to provide further personal data to establish your eligibility and provide you with the prize. This information may be collected by us or our co-sponsors or vendors for the promotion. c) Business Transfers. In the event that we or substantially all of our assets are acquired, customer information will be one of the transferred assets.

We release account and other information when we believe such a release is appropriate to comply with the law and law enforcement investigations and to protect the rights, property or safety of our users or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for various reasons, such as fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

5. How do we store your information?:

We may retain Customer’s Information only for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy. We will retain and use your personal information to the extent required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve a dispute, etc.

The Information that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside of the UAE. It may also be processed by staff operating outside the UAE who work for us or one of our suppliers. Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things, the fulfilment of your order, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. We will store your Information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes indicated in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise permitted or required by law. Your Information may be transferred, stored, processed and used by our affiliated companies and/or non-affiliated service providers in one or more countries outside your originating country. Your payment details may be transferred to and stored with our affiliated companies in order to, among other things, process your payment details and provide support services to you.

6. What Security Measures do we apply to protect your data?

Handleforme takes appropriate steps to ensure data privacy and security, including through various hardware and software methodologies. We maintain commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to ensure your information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and to protect against unauthorized access or alteration to, disclosure, or destruction of your Information.

However, Handleforme cannot guarantee the security of any information that is disclosed online. It is essential for you to protect yourself against unauthorised access to your password and to your devices used to access our

Services. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. For example, ensure that you sign off when you have finished using a shared device.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your Information, we cannot guarantee the security of your Information transmitted to our Platform, and any transmission is at your own risk.

For the third-party websites and links, Handleforme is not responsible for the privacy policies of websites to which it links. If you provide any information to such third-parties, different rules regarding the collection and use of your personal information may apply. We strongly suggest you review such third party’s privacy policies before providing any data to them. We are not responsible for the policies or practices of third parties. Please be aware that our sites may contain links to other sites on the internet that are owned and operated by third parties. The information practices of those Web sites linked to our site is not covered by this Policy, and we cannot control this collection of information. You should contact these entities directly if you have any questions about their use of the information that they collect.

7. How to ensure your Children's Privacy

The Website does not knowingly collect personal information from minors under the age of 18. Minors are not permitted to use the Website or services, and Handleforme requests that minors under the age of 18 not submit any personal information to the website. Since information regarding minors under the age of 18 is not collected, Handleforme does not knowingly distribute personal information regarding minors under the age of 18. If Handleforme discovers that an individual under 18 has provided us with personal information, Handleforme will close the account and delete the personal data.

8. How can you access and Manage Your Information?

You are able to access a broad range of information about your account and your interactions with the Platform for the purpose of viewing and, in certain cases, updating your Information.

Examples of information you can access easily at the Platform include:

a) up-to-date information regarding recent orders / jobs;

b) personally identifiable information (including name, e-mail, password, communications and personalised advertising and pricing preferences);

c) payment settings (including credit card information); and

d) notification settings.

You can opt-out of receiving future marketing communications from us at any time by adjusting your customer communication preferences through the unsubscribe link within the e-mail communication.

Also, our system will place cookies when you log on to our Platform, and this is to ensure you have an enjoyable user experience and are able to utilise all aspects of the Platform. You may disable Cookies by changing the settings on your browser. If you disable Cookies, it will affect how our Platform works and you may not be able to access or use certain areas of our Platform or full functionality. For example, performance cookies collect information about how you use the site, for instance, which pages you visit most often, which allows us to provide you with targeted and relevant choices that enhance your Site experience.

We may retain a copy of your Information for compliance reasons. When you update information, we may retain a copy of the prior version for our records.

You may exercise certain rights regarding your information processed by us. In particular, you have the right to do the following:

  1. Be informed if your Customer Information is being processed by us, obtain disclosure regarding certain aspects of the processing and obtain a copy of the information undergoing processing and be informed about third parties with which your personal information has been shared;

  2. Access Customer’s Information , including: (i) confirming whether we are processing your personal information; (ii) obtaining access to or a copy of your personal information.

  3. Right to Rectification of the accuracy of your information and ask for it to be updated or corrected;

  4. Request Deletion of your Customer Information from us under certain circumstances when Customer Information is no longer required for the purposes it was collected for, or your consent for the processing of that data has been withdraw, or the Customer Information has been unlawfully processed. Note that if your information is deleted, then your Customer Account may become deactivated. If your account is deactivated or you ask to close your Customer Account, you will no longer be able to use the Services. If you would like to close your Customer Account in our system, you can do so by contacting our Customer Service Team at;

  5. Request Restriction of our processing of your Customer Information if the processing is carried out on a legal basis other than consent or the Customer Information is being corrected, in which case, you have the right to ask for a temporary halt to the processing of Customer Information; and

  6. Request data portability and receive an electronic copy of personal information that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

  7. Rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling where you have a right no to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing.

9. What happens if we change our Privacy policy?

Our business changes constantly, and our Privacy Policy may therefore also need to change. We will post the current version of this Privacy Policy on the Platform and each such change will be effective upon posting on the Platform or upon the date designated by us as the "effective date".

We may e-mail periodic reminders of our notices and conditions, but you should frequently check our platform to see recent changes.

It is your obligation to regularly check the Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the Platform following any such change constitutes your agreement to this Privacy Policy as so modified.
